Glass gel for extensions Glass gel №7 — a polymer light-curing material for strengthening and extending nails. Thanks to the stained-glass effect, the material allows you to create a transparent colored coating with depth and a glass effect.
The intensity of the color can be adjusted depending on the layer thickness: in a thin layer it creates the effect of a transparent colored veil; at a thickness of up to 2 mm the color is more pronounced but the transparent glass effect is retained.
Features:
- Acid-free.
- Has a medium consistency, closer to a thinner one.
- Not viscous, easily picked up and applied with a brush.
- Self-levels well.
- Distributes evenly over the surface of the nail plate.
- Does not run during application.
- The light consistency reduces the risk of air bubbles forming during application.
- Suitable for strengthening the nail plate.
- Suitable for the "extension without filing" technique.
- Suitable for extensions on top forms.
- Has shock absorption and does not crack on impact.
- Becomes thicker in the cold and thinner in the warmth.
- Can be additionally warmed up to make the consistency thinner.
- Does not cause strong burning sensation in the lamp.
Important:
- Requires a base coat of Rubber Base.
- The thickness of the free edge must be at least 1 mm.
- Preliminary curing with a lamp — 10–15 seconds depending on the power.
- Recommended wavelength for polymerization — 365–405 nm.
- Recommended UV/LED lamp power — 36–48 W.
- Maximum material thickness per polymerization stage — up to 2 mm.
- Full polymerization — 120 seconds.
- If the material thickness exceeds 3 mm, we recommend working in two stages with intermediate polymerization.
Application method
STRENGTHENING
- Remove the previous coating.
- Do not file the nail shape, or leave up to 2 mm of length, to be removed after leveling.
- Using a 220-grit file, file the nail without strong pressure, lifting the scales of the nail plate, or use a 100-grit buffer.
- Do a manicure.
- If working with removers, wash your hands with soap after using them.
- Degrease the nail with Nail Prep LUNAmoon in two steps. Use 4 wipes: 1 wipe per 5 fingers. First step: wipe the nail surface. Second step: place a wipe on an orange stick and thoroughly wipe the cuticle area and sidewalls.
- Primer is used at your discretion. If the base coat has sufficient acidity, primer is not needed.
- The base coat of Rubber Base LUNAmoon is best applied with a flat gel brush using rubbing motions. Coat all the nail sidewalls and cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
- Remove the tacky layer.
- Level with Glass Gel, leaving a gap of 0.5–1 mm from the cuticle. Cure in the lamp for 120 seconds.
- After leveling, file the shape. This is needed so that thickness forms at the edge of the nail to hold the free edge.
- If the nail was thin, it may curl, so be sure to file down 1 mm of natural nail from the inside. This will help avoid material delamination. If the material is hard and the nail is very soft, the nail itself may start to separate from the hard material at the free edge.
- After filing, remove the tacky layer and dust off.
- Apply gel polish if needed.
- Seal with a no-wipe top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. After curing, do not wipe, so as not to lose the shine.
CLASSIC EXTENSION
- Remove the previous coating.
- Shorten the nail to 1 mm and give it a round shape.
- Use LUNAmoon primer.
- The base coat of Rubber Base LUNAmoon is best applied with a flat gel brush using rubbing motions. Coat all the nail sidewalls and cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
- Remove the tacky layer.
- Install a form for extending the free edge of the nail.
- Shape the artificial nail with Glass Gel. Pre-cure in the lamp for 30 seconds.
- File the free edge and give the nail the desired shape.
- Remove the tacky layer and dust off.
- Reapply Rubber Base LUNAmoon to the areas where the file was used. Cure for 60 seconds.
- Level with Glass Gel, place in the lamp and pinch at the 10th–15th second. If the material is stickier, pinch at the 20th second.
- Cure fully in the lamp for 120 seconds.
- Remove the tacky layer before applying gel polish.
- Apply gel polish if needed.
- Seal with a no-wipe top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. After curing, do not wipe, so as not to lose the shine.
